Appearance-  Mateus is 5'11" and wears a black and yellow ninjitsu outfit. his face, or what is
left of it, is masked only revealing his milky white eyes and what little scar free skin remains.

Background-  Born on Earth to hardworking parents in a rough neighborhood, Mateus was the
eldest of a family of 4. His father and mother had started off as tradespeople, but with an
economic crisis hitting quite close to home and men degenerating into animals willing only to
fend for themselves both soon turned to the trade of bodyguards. Mateus as well as his 3
brothers trained in the arts of ninjitsu at a very young age and mastered it's complex maneuvers
as well as it's age old teachings as fast as any who spend every waking moment in training.
But protection of the rich always had it's price in a world as unforgiving as Earth could be,
One stormy evening with everyone in bed, a fire was started by unseen forces. Waking the
family as fast as he could, the father rushed to save the lives of those he loved. Mateus aided
them as best he could, ensuring a route to safety but the ceiling began to collapse...
reacting on instinct alone he threw himself under the falling rubble and supported it to withstand
a while longer for the others to go through, screaming out of pain, he could feel his flesh slowly
blistering and burning, he withstood the pain until all were safe. As the youngest finally past
from under his elder's legs gravity demanded it's due and all of the debris fell taking Mateus
down with it.
With everything around them being consumed by the fire, his family members could not stop to
aid him and so with heavy hearts and eyes filled with tears they rushed out the door.
Mateus came to realize during those critical moments of life that for all the tortures and torments known to man, nothing could compare to the taunting pain that nature could unleash in the form of flame. But even suffering through the pain of the body as well as the insurmountable weight of his dead home...nothing on that night caused him more harm than hearing the agonizing screams and final sounds of his loved ones being butchered just beyond the dieing flames...
Those very same flames changed him in ways no mortal man can comprehend, and so no longer a mortal man he seeks those who took everything from him, day and night without rest, for no being of the underworld needs rest any longer.
